The Seal has been broken

Today, I'm not going to do the regular thing and talk about some cards to defeat Meta, but rather talk about what Konami announced recently: A special card that is going to be released in the Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World: The Seal of Orichalcos.

This is a mock-up version, as Konami hasn't released any official image yet.

Many people may be excited about this card, but we're not. There was a reason to not release many of the cards from the Duel Monsters (First anime, for many people) saga of Yu-Gi-Oh!: They were so goddamn powerful that if any was released, it was going to make the game way too unbalanced. Some has made this achievement, like Guardian Eatos, but didn't changed the game much. We're living in a time where many players aren't that excited to play because of the many Meta that removes the creativity and fun from the game, like Inzektors, Wind-Ups and Dino-Rabbits, so what makes Konami thinks that this card could excite the players?

If the card remains with the Anime's effect untouched (providing +500 attack points to all your monsters, being highly resistant to field removal and letting your stronger monsters protecting your weaker ones) or at least don't creating a high activation or maintenance cost, we're going to have the worst time of our lives. We all expect to this card being banned soon if it follows exactly like the Anime's one. There are already great decks that use Field Spell Cards, like Dragunities (mixed or not with Hieratics), Dark World and Gravekeepers, even though they're not taking much spotlight on tournaments. But why make a card that can side every of those decks even better than Closed Forest?

Many have forgotten of this card, or couldn't find one since it was only released as a promo, but it's still a supreme card against decks that relies on Field Spell Cards, even if you don't got any Beast Monsters. The attack point bonus can be higher than The Seal of Orichalcos, but not every deck can benefit from it's bonuses, except if you use Naturia synchro monsters or something. If nothing changes, may I ask you, why is a more resistant version of this card giving a attack bonus of a Necrovalley a good addition?

Well, only time will tell if we have less to fear. The situation is already bad, many old school players have bad memories of this card by watching the Anime, even more than the Egyptian God Cards, since they were released in a time where the game has changed already to make any kind of extreme power don't matter anymore. Can't think of a time that launching this card with an effect exactly like the anime would be good, but definitively this isn't a good one. We can't know as well what Konami is planning, so it's just a matter of time to know if The Seal of Orichalcos will unbalance even more this game.
