Well, here we are again.
Today we're going to talk about some monster who should be at the Side Deck in these days, but, somehow, they're not. Maybe people will find some uses to these, try them, and, with some luck, win tournaments. Shall this become their destiny, most people will regret not having these cards before their price's rise.
Anyway, we already know that we can't underestimate any card nowadays, as it can be a matter of time we can profit with them. But, for now, here are some monsters for your Side Decks:
Anyway, we already know that we can't underestimate any card nowadays, as it can be a matter of time we can profit with them. But, for now, here are some monsters for your Side Decks:
OK, this may not be that awesome and overwhelming card, but it has some features that makes it, somehow, a must in some Side Decks: Summoning either from hand or graveyard, pretty good stats and a way to scratch a common feature of Meta Decks.
So, having to banish monsters to special summon it by it's own effect may not be for every deck, but there's always the Extra Deck. Few XYZ monsters are worth to be summoned from the graveyard, so some DARK or WIND ones or maybe both can do the trick. Shall you summon this in early game, you'll render your opponent's trap cards useless. He/she will be even unable to defend himself/herself with set monsters. Decks that have few monsters like Bubbleman-Hero will have a hard time, those annoying Stall decks, like Chain Burn, Exodia and Stall Decks will have their speed decreased and there'll be almost no defense for your opponent's life points.
Now, for the stats: DARK (and WIND), Lv 7, 2700 ATK and 1000 DEF. Having a Gorz-like attack is not bad until you find one. And since you'll be stopping your opponent's sets, there'll be a high probability that you'll be facing one and a same attack token. Having 1000 DEF is not bad, though, since Smashing Ground won't affect Dark Simorgh at first. Being a DARK monster not only means that it's immune to Ally of Justice - Catastor, but also can be used for Allure of Darkness. And, being a Winged Beast, can be played along archetypes like Blackwings (although only in the Extra Deck you'll usually find a WIND to banish) and Ninjas (lot of options here).
Enough about that, here's another bad-ass card:
Well, it's almost not needed to describe it much. Easy special summon, as it will hardly miss the timing and almost every Meta Deck nowadays relies on banishing in some way for speed or for summoning strong monsters. And, notably, it's not affected by Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror, so it won't affect your side tactics.
Against Dark World, this card will only mess with their speed, as the field won't work and it's high likely that a monster will be summoned before the field activates.
With Chaos Dragons, it's almost guarantee that the high-leveled dragons won't touch the field by Special Summon. The variant with Lightsworns, however, have more draw power and resources to get rid of this monster, specially with Judgment Dragon and Honest.
Now, for Rescue Rabbit, you'll only render the Rabbit useless, but will still have trouble with the amazing amount of resources that this deck has. Worth to mention that the most common time that you'll summon this monster is when Rabbit activates it's effect, which will not interfere with Evolzar Laggia, nor the rest of your opponent's cards.
If you face Elemental Heroes, until Escuridão is released, the only way your opponent will surpass Chaos Hunter will be by Gemini Spark and some XYZs. But, just like Rescue Rabbit, unless your opponent is playing with Bubbleman, your opponent's first Special Summon will be a Fusion Summon or a Photon Trasher. This means that this card will have little effect, as will most likely enter the field too late.
We're done here. Next time, we're going to talk about some traps that can have some good performance at any deck. And remember: "Play with your brain, not with your money."
